My Story:
Entering college, I knew who Jesus was and that you had to believe in him but I didn’t understand what his death meant for me. I saw it sufficient to try to do the right thing and have enough of a spiritual appearance. God placed mature believers in my life throughout college that were encouraging and challenging me in my spiritual walk. Around my junior and senior year, God opened my ears to hear that Jesus had to die for my sins and that counting him as my savior was necessary for a relationship with God. I had to see that despite my morality I was so far from the perfection that God demands. For now, I am still daily fighting to count all things as loss (good deeds, disciplines, etc) and trust completely in Christ for my salvation. At the end of our days, we still have to see ourselves as unworthy apart from the gift of eternal life from Christ. “So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’” Luke 17:10
My hobbies:
Being outdoors- running, biking, not reading, volleyball, snow-skiing
My favorites:
Whole-wheat bread, salmon burgers, books with short chapters, banana and peanut butter, home-cooked meals, checking my bank statements (it’s why I work in the office)
What you probably didn’t know about me:
I was chunky growing up but after eating grilled chicken at Zaxbys almost everyday one summer and growing a few inches I’ve been the same weight the last 10 years–155 pounds.
