"Growing up, my family attended church every Sunday, and that was what I understood Christianity to be: going to church and being a moral person. Therefore, my identity was wrapped up in being a "good" girl and in playing sports. After receiving a scholarship for Nursing, I decided to go to Western for college, even though I didn't know anyone there. The Lord, however, placed me with a Christian roommate and directly across the hall from a girl who was involved with CO, named Anna. Anna became one of my best friends, as she poured her life into me. Seeing how different their lives were and hearing for the first time about having a personal relationship with Christ at CO meetings, my life and desires truly changed as I began reading the Bible and praying. My identity was no longer in sports, morals, or people, but in Him."
